The ‘Respect The Spec’ 09 Poster series saw a return to strong typographic messaging; the creation of typefaces based on classic pieces of design ephemera, Neon signage, Meccano and the good ol’ Slinky were the basis for the Designer’s Mantra that has now reached household name status —  "I’m A Designer And I Know What I Want". Environmentally Sound Promotion Part 2

walterwakefield in conjunction with Spicers Paper has released a set of five 12-inch vinyl records in an edition of 1000, pressed on recycled vinyl with bespoke sleeves printed on ‘Monza Recycled’ paper stock.
 
This limited edition set is a continuation of our promotion for ‘Monza Recycled’ an FSC Certified market leader in recycled papers. Each record contains tracks from mash-up maestro ‘GirlTalk’. Like the music in this promotion, the graphics are remixed or mashed-up from found visual material to create something new.

Remix culture is the essence of the concept for this promotion. Making something new and reusable from something old and used is the central goal for a sustainable future.
